Mobile analytics an emerging set of technologies focused on extracting the value contained within this data by identifying patterns, preferences, and trends, often in real time. With applications such as the aggregation of traffic information to determine optimal driving routes, to farmers knowing exactly when and where to apply irrigation or fertilizers, to businesses being able to better identify the habits of their best customers, this space is attracting significant interest and investment.

Kelly McDonaldKelly McDonald, Manager, Systems Integration and Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Practice, Deloitte & Touche LLP

Mr. Kelly McDonald is a Manager in Deloitte & Touche LLP’s Systems Integration and Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) practices. He is a member of Deloitte’s Mobility practice and leads its Unified Communications initiative in Canada.  With over 10 years of experience in the telecom and IT sectors, he has worked with large telecom equipment vendors, carriers, large financial institutions and in the public sector. His technical  background covers a broad range of communications technologies including mobility, VoIP (enterprise and carrier), Optical networks, SS7/AIN, unified communications, communication enabled applications and 4G wireless.

Kelly has held a variety of positions  in multiple business roles including project management, product development, customer relationship management, marketing, organizational development, system life cycle planning, high performance team leadership, program governance and customer support. He is a contributor to Deloitte’s 2012 Technology Predictions and has had articles on Application Modernization published in Canadian Government Executive magazine. Mr. McDonald holds MBAs from the S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and Queen’s School of Business at Queen’s University and a Computer Science Degree from the University of Calgary.  He is a Certified Management Consultant, a Lean 6δ Greenbelt and Project Management Professional.
